Bug Thread.
Here is how to fix the AI Disabled bug. Sometimes enemy AI breaks if you die and load a save.

1. Make sure these launch options are set in Steam for HL:A -

-console -vconsole

The above settings will not affect your gameplay, but will allow you to access the console if needed.

2. If you suspect the AI is disabled (pretty obvious when it happens), be sure to turn on subtitles and reload your save. You should see A.I. Disabled popup on your screen, verifying that there is an issue.

3. While in the Pause Menu or standing somewhere safe in-game, pull off your headset, open the console by pressing the tilde key (~), and then type in ai_setenabled 1 and hit enter. You may need to set your PC language to English, and use (§) instead on some keyboards.

4. Put your headset back on and continue playing as normal.

Right click on HL Alyx in your steam library, then click properties. It's on the general tab there.

is it possible to activate the mods sound via th console? i cannot hear music or narrator at all but i hear very well all the sounds like alyx pystol etc

From the title, is this a general bug thread? Or just about the AI bug?

I was really looking forward to trying this mod, but I can't start the game, it crashes during the first loading screen. Is there a log file somewhere I can look at? (All 8 parts are installed and enabled)

Do you have other mods installed? I remember Silent hill mod crashes the game on start up, if you have both part 1 and 2 installed at the same time.

These (Return to Rapture) are actually the first and only mods I've installed. It's a Quest 2 via Oculus Link and SteamVR if that matters at all.

Thank you. I was wondering why the enemies stopped moving all the sudden.

im having a problem with the audio diaries where i grab them but nothing plays ive pressed a ton of buttons but i bet its due to my own incompetence. it might also be because im playing on quest

Playing with Valve Index. No music or audio diary sound. Any idea what I need to do to make this work?

Unsubscribing from part 1 an d resubscribing and then also subscribing to all 8 parts and enabling all 8 seems to have helped. Now I hear music and most of the audio logs play now. Some still don't for some reason though. The reels spin but no sound happens. Only some though. Most are actually playing now after the steps I mentioned I did.

Ai disabled on level5. Re enabling crashes the game.

I have the same problem in the same place but I've found if I restart I can pay through it on another attempt.
