Other video services like direct mp4/webm files or Google Drive
Hi, I want to know if there are any plans on adding support for Google Drive video playback or direct links to video files (or simple html player) in mp4 or webm support (for example).

There are plans for making it, just without a ETA. It requires major overhauls to realize this feature. Since there must be added ways to retrieve the duration of all videos.

if you dont currently have a solution for direct links, here's a suggestion: use cytube's custom content metadata

it's a bit cumbersome compared to being able to just paste a link and go, but it seems a lot more practical than trying to probe the content serverside (and regardless, it'd be nice to have support for since cytube serves a very similar purpose to cinema)
