The H.264 format is not shipped by default with Garry's mod as it is proprietary and comes with licensing costs. This is the reason why YouTube livestreams do not work right away. But this problem can be solved.
What you only need to do to solve it is to use the CEF codec fix and patch Garrysmod with it.
