I would make it an engineer weapon, make it fire bolts so an engie can refill turret ammo from a distance and make it a secondary. otherwise i agree with yellow herb

assuming it is an secondary slot weapon, i would give it stats like this:

-45% damage

+25% afterburn damage

+2 extra seconds of burn

No crits

Targets under this weapons fire have 30% reduced weapon switch rate

If i anyhow copied someones idea i am sorry and want assure that it was completely unintentional.

Well Its Good But Why For Pyro,Why Can't It be Engineer So Like He Can Repair,Refill His Sentry,Teleporter,Dispenser Just Why

Alt fire shoots flare
25 percent longer after burn damage

assuming this is primary wepon.
if its secondary get rid of the flare ability

As a Primary:
+20% damage
+25% Afterburn Damage
Alt-Fire: Shoots oil on the ground
Oil can be lit and will cause normal burn damage to anyone who touches it for 8 seconds
-20% range
-20% ammunition

As a Secondary:
+50% max ammunition
+50% fire rate
Shoots red-hot bullets like a pistol but twice as fast as a normal flare gun
-20% damage
-50% afterburn

should be a secondary that almost acts like the mannmelter exept that it is half way between flare gun and the mannmelter in the sence that it has ammo

if you shoot the ground it will leave little fires and if stepped on will catch you enemies of fire but will eventuly go out
also it should have the same amount of ammo as any of the flare guns as well as half the burn damage and time as the defult flame thrower
should be a secondary weapon
