My guess is this is where citizens used to go to take a metro or some sort of train but was probably later shut down by the combine since it was used as a rebel base or it had some
infection in it like zombies or something and the blood is probably recent which someone
tried to explore the place but ended up getting killed by a zombie or it was blood from when
the combine were fighting the rebels to clear out the station?

that's the reason why there's a jumpscare in vent...

So, Inside the station, above a lantern, there is like a ventilation, if you enter, you will find as if it were a normal ventilation, but, if you go to the right or left, and you fall, you will die and the sound of the scream will be produced when you start a game in "Murder" mode (That woman's cry)
It is not serious, but a great detail as in almost all maps!
