I had some trouble recreating the issues seen in the original mod, I was hoping you could tell a little more about what you found and if you were able to recreate the issue consistently.

It's been a while since I looked at this so let me try to recall what the issue was:
There is a workaround for the counter not updating correctly, which is to delete and recreate the display. This breaks when players click the button more than once per frame, which leads to the display being created twice. I changed the workaround to simply update the display twice which somehow works.
