Intelligence Officer Abilities and Details
Resistance Leader: Intelligence Officer
Field Intelligence Officers excel at infiltrating enemy territory and silently eliminating isolated targets. In active combat situations, they can provide overwatch fire support or offensive melee advances.

Abilities are split up into three thematic groupings:
  • Director - Infiltrate enemy territory and scout from the shadows.
  • Anchor - Provide supporting overwatch fire to cover the movements of your allies.
  • Fénnid - Legendary warrior that excels at melee executions.

Squaddie [Rank 1] and Proficiency-Granted Skills

Intelligence Officer (Class Proficiency Skill) - The Intelligence Officer's ability to infiltrate enemy territory, providing scouting support improves with experience: See the pic on the main page for the breakdown of which effects are granted at which proficiency level/rank.

Cool Under Pressure - Reaction shots have +10% chance to hit and can now generate Critical Hits.

Sword Slash - Vanilla base melee skill that allows a dashing slash attack.

Natural Leader - Guaranteed to have at least Gifted Combat Intelligence. Bonus command specializations with supporting mod (coming soon TM).

Corporal [Rank 2]

Blindside - Take a sub-sonic shot that will Disorient the target, but will only deal half damage. Will not reveal your position, if concealed, but will alert the enemies, breaking squad concealment. 1 turn cooldown.

Lightning Reflexes - Gain a passive +25% Defense bonus against all incoming reaction fire and gain immunity to the first reaction fire shot that would have hit (the immunity is not wasted on reaction shots that roll a miss).

Honed Edge - Gain +15% Aim and Critical Hit Chance with all melee attacks.

Sergeant [Rank 3]

Ghost - Gain +2 Mobility while concealed and kills where no enemies remain within normal visibility range of the Marksman retain concealment.

Ever Vigilant - Automatically enter Overwatch at the end of your turn if you only moved.

Hit and Run - Once per turn, get a movement-only action refunded after securing a kill with a turn-ending melee attack.

Lieutenant [Rank 4]

Combat Presence - Activate to give a squadmate an extra action.

Shredder - Shots with your Bullpup shred armor.

Untouchable - If the Intelligence Officer secured a kill last turn, the first attack against them will be ignored.

Captain [Rank 5]

Sixth Sense - Gain +6 Dodge and reveal hidden enemies, regardless of LOS, within 18 Tiles.

Sentinel - When in overwatch, you may take reaction shots at up to 2 targets. (only one shot per target)

Relentless - Once per turn, after killing an enemy with a turn-ending melee attack, get one non-movement action point refunded. Can stack with Hit and Run.

Major [Rank 6]

Remote Start - Fire at and detonate an explosive destructible object on the map. The radius of the resulting explosion will be twice as large, but will not deal bonus damage.

Marauder - Standard (and some special) Bullpup attacks no longer end the turn.

Ruthless - Gain +1 Damage and +20% Critical Hit Chance on all melee attacks.

Colonel [Rank 7]

Shadowstrike - Gain +25% Chance to Hit and Critical Hit Chance when attacking from concealment.

Close Combat Specialist - Automatically take reaction shots against any enemy that moves or attacks within 6 tiles. Doesn't stack with Bladestorm (only 1 attack per target per turn).

Bladestorm - Automatically take a melee reaction attack against any enemy that moves or attacks within melee range. Doesn't stack with Close Combat Specialist (only 1 attack per target per turn).
