I appear to be dumb because I don't know what to do. since steam pipe changed everything I don't understand what to do. Are the downloads not ment for tf2? Source filmmaker? :octodad:

There are two folders in the download.
-Content
-Game
Which one do I use and how?

I downloaded TF2 from Steam, so I'm a bit confused about how to get mods into TF2 anyways.

no you have to go to source film maker steam workshop this is just for the game tf2

If it's a mod, then put the .vpk file into the "custom" folder in your TF2 directory, and you should be good to go!

you cant because its not really a mod, if this gets approved it will go to the ingame store where you can buy it as an item or eventually find it on a server as a random find, but i have a feeling you can only find weapons
You can find hats/miscs if you are not F2P. They're just a bit rarer than weps

Decompile the item you want to replace with this thing, then replace the folder links in the qc with the items in the download. Then recompile the qc and it should work assuming all your folder assignments are correct.

At least, that's how it used to work. I have no idea if it is this easy now.

Redcoat, if it's the old style of folders, you can just use "vpk.exe" to turn it into a VPK, resulting in a very easy way to keep your game clean.

All you can do for this item is vote for it to get in the game and just wait and hope to see if it gets accepted as an official item. This isn't a mod, and you would have to talk with the owner to see if it gets to be an SFM item.
