1. You get mining hat lightbulb + mining hat
2. You attach the lightbulb to the hat via hotbar
3. Press F to turn on.

understood, but when I use a 2 handed weapon, the light turns off. Im sorry i didnt convey that in my post.

unrelated but similar............. maybe. I know this isn't your problem Peach. But if I turn on/off Eris NV goggles while driving? it turns the car motor on/off......that's odd. Not caused by anything you've done. But maybe Gimp can check and see if its a hotkey issue? That was my next step on my issue. I don't know if he means when he swings the 2h weapon the light goes out or if it switches on and off (which would be effed up, but hilarious) or if he means switching to a 2 h weapon from his back? or even just arming 2H weapon from inventory as primary weapon? I wonder if the arming of 2h weapon makes the code think that the flashlight would be put away since 2H weapon would put away a flashlight in off hand? The light stays in place, but something tells it to turn off because....... well.....flashlight usually goes bye bye when you can't spare a hand to hold it. I don't know. I'm just a caveman

I'm having the same error. It's almost as if the mining hat light occupies the "equipped secondary" slot. The light turns off if you use a 2h weapon or put something in your secondary.
