go into steam and into the game's properties, browse local files, inside the PZ folder, delete the entire steamapps folder.

hi, has this been found out to work? im having the same error and i tried doing what you said, but it still shows the error

@bacon I am looking at the error myself and am trying to find a end-all solution to understand what is going on. I am going to need some time though, so be patient.

@authentic peach, i think i have figured it out. i tried the solution that was recently commented on the discussion thread you linked above.

basically what I did was copy the 2335368829 folder (authentic z mod folder) from
"...\steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600"

and pasted it to "...\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600"

and replaced the folder in there, seems to work now
