[WIKI] Factions
Can't remove mechanoids, insects or ancients
The game depends on these factions and their removal is guaranteed to break the save

Can't create a faction based on mechanoids /insects /ancients
Same. The game expects that such factions will be in a single copy

Say you wanted to create a "Insect Only" world with the new faction options during the generate world screen, only to find three hours later that the game is soft-locked into crashing over and over again because an allied settlement tries to send the player on a quest where a hostile human faction is required. This little attempt crashes the game because it seems to make infinite loops in the possible quests it can send to the player, only for it to refresh the list again because there are no applicable enemies.
Is there a way to spawn a completely new hostile faction, or can I only make factions of the similar type? As of right now, when I "Create a New Faction" it just makes a new hive from the "Insectoids Expanded" mod.

It worked, thank you. Now I just have to see if it was the lack of faction causing the crash or a mod conflict with spawning.

Would it be possible to add the ability to edit relationship with mechanoid/insectiod factions? Would be fun to make them allies of you (or someone else) for a bit of a different playthrough.

Been messing around with this for the last ten or twenty minutes, so I might have missed it, but is there a way to change a faction's ideology?

Actually the main reason I downloaded this. Lots of alien mods and it keeps making maneating giants, Yautja predators, and psychopathic mantis people things like... peaceful pastorial nomads. Getting tired of having to constantly reload maps until they share ideologies with something more fitting like cannibals, pirates or savage tribes.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this before, but can you make it so that when you add a faction, you can get to choose the specific one, instead of it being randomized. To clarify, when I say add, I mean to pick specific a faction, click on the map, add the faction to the location that's been clicked on.

How can i choose what type of faction i want to add ? Because if i do"Add new faction" and it is "rough outlander union" if i put it to "civil outlander" the relation dont change...

I will like that when i add faction the relation with everybody is 0 so i can change it myself.
