For instance. I want to print this out on a custom playmat, but I have no idea what size would be appropriate...

The board should be easily printable on 2 A4 (or "letter") sized pages.
If you're printing it on a larger scale as one piece, you can adjust the image to the size you would like, but I would say 11.7 x 16.5 inches would be the minimum size.
I would like to say to hold off just for now on printing any of the components for now as I'm working on releasing a new print and play version with some updates.
