There are trait and personality ratings relative to each order. The better of a fit your character is, the higher the chance of getting a spren.

Thanks. I think I overlooked the option because the text was missing from the third box but when I click the empty box I bond to a spren. The first time I bonded it had text but not the second or third.

Sorry I didn't answer this before, I don't check notifications often. The text box saying to bond with a spren for what to do after a break (the choices that pop up) is blank about half the time for me, maybe more. It's just a bar with no text where it normally says "bond with a spren." When I click this blank box, it behaves normally, however, and continues as though it said bond with a spren.
