having the same issue, maybe we are getting the timing wrong?

What does down special do? xD

down special basically works like a counter,the timing is a very low frame but if u use neutral special the timeframe is easier to hit,plus the blast becomes more powerfull,if you use the down special agents a projectile it will instead fire a ton of chara's side special projectiles.

Were you expecting to shot lasers? NOPE!
