"K" = Got a Smoke? (Change F_g ?)
Is there any chance you'd be willing to swap out the instances of F_g with 'Smoke' instead?

Eggon look, I'm going to level with you- the decade I was born in begins with a '7. I'm old. I've had to change myself as that was a common insult when I was a kid, in the States. And I understand that F_g *was* a common slang for a cig in places like the United Kingdom in the 90's.

But times have changed, and so have the terms. When I visited the UK and went out to a Pub, all I heard was "Oi!, do you 'ave a Smoke?" or "Come 'ave a Smoke with me, Luv". And that's all due to the exposure of being around different cultures and groups.

Perhaps you have another term in mind? Cig? Smoke? Ciggy? Dart? 'Coffin Nail'? Cancer Stick? lol. You get my point. I know its your mod to control, I had hoped asking nicely might sway you a bit.

Either way, I appreciate you considering it.

Both the slur and the slag make me cringe for different reasons. more-so because my character suddenly speaking British is so off-putting compared to everything else in the vanilla game and the majority of mods that try to keep things close to immersive. I didn't know my character was either a lost tourist or a 10 year old kid until I pressed the wrong button.

If anyone wants to un-cringe this mod, open up Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2289454303\mods\eggonsHotkeys\media\lua\client\EHK_Smoking.lua

the dialog options are at the top. you can change anything between the " " but there needs to be 3 entries unless you change the "3" in the line a little further down that says " dialogueNo = ZombRand(3) + 1 "

example:
local cigarettesDialogues = { [1] = "No Cigarettes found", [2] = "No Cigarettes found", [3] = "No Cigarettes found" }

History happened- Pretending otherwise is what dooms you to repeat it.

The game itself is set in 1993 kentucky, So I personally think the mod's usage of that term is spot on(Or was, if it's been changed since)- It's the right time period in game for that to have been the terminology that people in the area would use. It's not using the term out of the appropriate time period, It's not using it just to offend people- It's using it because that is the language that was used at the time.

No one in the United States ever used the word F_g to mean a cigarette. I'm 43. I was smoking in the 90's. Its a British slang word, not US.
