Ok, has anyone actually got a fix for this?
I to, have the issue of it not starting due to some "gameinfo.txt" bug, which is actually there.

i have done as follows
i downloaded this, check
i found it, check
i then went into the ZIP and dragged the folder out into Black Mesa, NOT bms
i switched to public beta, check

and yet this does not work, any the only fixes anyone has mentioned properly is they accidentally put it in bms instead, so can someone please tell me an actual fix for this so i can play?

I think I figured it out, just move the .bat (or the linux one if your using that thing) and the file asheep to the steamapps/common/blackmesa , just move those two things, no need to move the entire file
