Have you read the book to operate generators? I assume this mod works on the same principle as a normal generator, so if you can't turn on a normal one you likely can't on this one

I have indeed! I had to resort to using a normal generator as I could not figure out how to get this one going.. I made sure everything was 100% on it and it was all fuelled up but still, nothing :(

It needs to have a battery to run, I was having the similar issue after I unknowingly left the lights on while I was on a scavenging trip. I would open up the vehicle wheel(on one of the sides, where a panel would be) and press start generator but it wouldn't do anything. Hopefully changing the battery inside of it fixes the issue for you as well. Unlike in a car it does not recharge itself and uses a lot power while it's running.

I should add that sometimes it doesn't start right away, like a car. You can hear it trying, before it starts up.

Small detail to note for using the Generator trailer... when it's connected to the local grid, it won't move for love or money, no matter what you use to try to move it.

also you need the key for it

Just go close to the generator and hold down the V key

Then an option will appear for you to connect the generator

I have the key to the generator, it has gas, it has the battery, its repaired and connected but still won’t work

Is there a specific magazine the mod adds? Would be helpful to get a tutorial for these more in-depth trailers.
