I’ve been playing Total War for over a decade, and I still can’t figure out how to avoid getting steamrolled in campaign using this mod. Everything is so expensive, and progression feels slow. I don’t mind that—I like the challenge—but how the hell does the enemy field a 20-stack army so quickly? Even city-states have full stacks. I have no idea how to counter this in the early game. Am I just trash, or am I missing something? I usually play campaign on Very Hard, but this specific mod feels like it handicaps the hell out of you, while other factions somehow manage to build massive armies.
