Future modifications
How would you like to see the continuation of fashion?
I mean , for example, who will be the leader of his country ? I consider the way each country is your avatar, and hence leaders of the four countries will be represented avatars. What is illogical , since they can not exist at one time. On the other hand Ekarerina II and other rulers, could not be from 3600 BC to the present day actual rulers of their countries. My point is that the project is in fact called World Of The Avatar, you can move some of the intricacies of the universe, and to present them as they are. This is only a picture (perhaps 3D model), you will see the country in diplomacy. So it may not be essential.
What do you think about this? Write in the comments that you would like to see , leave as is , or choose the real rulers of countries . You decide, at the moment I 'm doing the countries themselves , their unique features and units.

PS I do not speak English , so do not pay attention to the mistakes :) It all Google LOL

I think it is a good idea. i am yet to play the current mod but i hate the idea of the current civ where one leader lasts for the entire game. I think leaders should die and new ones should rise to match the current age you are in the game. And each leader of a civ should have different traits to match what they achieved in the real world and also be releveant to the age which they rule in :)

I think that both the avatar ruling their nation and the real leaders ruling their nation are great ideas so I don't really mind which one is to be added.
TheLastPotato 2014 年 2 月 11 日 上午 11:12
Well you could do that , though I must say I would prefer seeing the real Avatar Leaders like Fire Lord Ozai, Chief Unulok, King Bumi, Chief Hakoda (Sokka's Father), Earth King Kuei and even the Air Nomad council of the southern air temple. Besides that your idea of making the map is totally awesome and lots of people would be dying to play it including myself. Keep it up.

I love the Avatar World, but it seems a bit un detailed, and the Ba Sing Se area must be plains, not desert. Also, I would love to see a legit civilization of United Republic of Nations and it's leader as President Raiko.

The problem with this is, that early in the game, leaders would only last 1-2 turns. Unless you're just trying to make it a little more realistic? And just do some prominent leaders? Just a comment.

not sure if it is possible but it would be really cool if the avatar is a unique great person that can attack and who cycles though the nations if he dies.

Personally I think the leaders should definitely be those from the actual series. There are a LOT to choose from too. Zuko, Iro, and Ozai are all good choices for fire nation for example. But the idea of the avatar cycling would be pretty awesome...maybe he lasts 10 turns or whatever before switching to the next nation in the cycle. Of course with CIV, you obviously have to set aside some logic. I mean, I'm pretty sure George Washington wasnt alive in 800 BC, so i dont think you need to worry about that kind of thing. It would still be awesome gameplay if all four were led by avatars, like Aang, Roku, Kioshi, and idk who the water guy was who comes and talks with Aang in book 3 but that guy! haha

I already posted a comment about this (I know im a scrub, deal with it). But see how civ works, they choose the greatest heroes of a nation (Or the one that had most of an impact on it as a country) and used something that the country is well known for as a UA. Like the fire nation in the 100 years war had super advanced tech and would seem to dominate in the industrial era due to their ships and early tanks, their UA can have something to do with Sozin's Comet, or their ideological view on the world, they are follow a militarism view, they instill honor and loyalty in their soldiers through schools, so maybe a barracks that gives science? I dont know, but you can see where Im coming from.

The Avatar by definition is not the leader of any one nation. For that reasons I wouldn't recommend having Avatars be leaders. The nations do have kings and leaders already though, so I would just pick out the most influential leaders in the show and make them lead the nations.

Oohh, this is nice. I wonder if we could tie this to happiness. Each civ has the Avatar for 30 turns at a time, cycling through, beginning with the fire nation, but you can only use him if you are in positive happiness. Still, I would want to play these nations against other in game nations, so it might not be feasable outside of a scenario.

what about units?
Emperor Mango 2014 年 2 月 13 日 下午 4:28
That'd be a good idea, but the problem is what's the purpose? The idea of an Avatar is peacekeeper of all 4 nations, he doesn't neccessarily favour one over the other and strives to keep the world balanced, hence the cycle of avatars to give the nations a sense of equilibrium. So using him as a general is out of the question, for culture Avatars don't really do much, they reside in somewhat private lives and just do whatever the heck they normally do, science doesn't fit, even if the Avatar was a scientist in his/her life.

Nah don't do that, it'd be too biased, give them a personality where they are aggressive, but focus on alot of infastructure and trade.
HeftySpoon 2014 年 2 月 13 日 下午 6:07
I think instead of great people you should do avatars. They last for a certian amount of turns and then aanother can be born in the next nation. Also what if you did the game in a scenario style? Say the 100 years war and such. The leaders would change and the units would change very little.
