- Adding interiors to most of the buildings to give the map more inside space
- Potentially extending the sewers so there's more to explore (perhaps some vents leading from/to buildings, that kind of thing)
- Adding a railway track (I see by the scrapyard there's an odd prop_door_rotating at the end of the tracks, and was planning on removing that and building tracks that go around the map, perhaps even adding some train stations)
- Adding some more space in the tunnels (perhaps more tunnels, or maybe more features, such as stopping points, maintenance corridors, decoration, etc. just to give that extra touch of realism)
- Other quality of life improvements (various small tweaks/optimisations such as adding visclusters in the sky to improve performance, areaportals in the new building interiors, etc.)
Do you have the VMF file for the map, and can I have it, please? It would make it much easier for me to edit the map if I did.
To be honest, I had completely forgotten all about this project.
Cutting a long story short, I ran into the exact same issue that most likely prevented this map from getting more detail in the first place: arbitrarily low Source engine limits (specifically to do with the amount of faces you can have in a map total).
So I started work on the map, only to find that within days, I'd hit that limit and couldn't get much further without doing some major reworks to the map itself, hence, the project then got shelved whilst I worked on other things.
I might return back to this project shortly, if I've got enough free time to work on it. If not, then... well, ask me in another 2 years and we'll see ;)
