PreEE Guide (Discovered by callofdutyrepo)

The PreEE was discovered by callofdutyrepo! Congrats!
The following guide is how to complete the PreEE(note that these steps are part of the in progress main EE quest)
Step 1:Players may notice a familiar poster near the Gold Room entrance in The Weston Hotel. Walk through it.
Step 2:Behind the poster lies a secret room of a crazy man. Using information from the graffiti the player must knife each tally mark symbol in front of the Gold Room(note that the Gold Room music must play before the symbols can be knifed) a tally mark is "activated" when it glows purple.
Step 3:After all five tall symbols have been knifed and activated, a player must run through the doors in the order of 1, 5, 3. Running out of time during this step or walking through the wrong door will cause the player to fail and have to activate the tally marks once again. You'll know when you get this step correct.
Step 4:All players must meet at the center of the backrooms and press interact on the fish.
Step 5:Return to where you "spawned" in the backrooms and take note of the new graffiti there. Each hallway in the backrooms has one of these and they must be activated in the order the graffiti is written(left to right) in the secret room in The Weston Hotel. This order is "Stop Looking", "The Divine Number", "153", "It Permeates Existence". (Note that "Stop Looking" can be entered at the start or end of the order, as I felt the graffiti could be read 2 ways).
Step 6:Return to the center of the backrooms to find "Element 153" press interact to pick it up.(This will be required in the Main EE) after the "Element 153" is picked up players will promptly return to The Weston Hotel.
Step 7:Upon returning to the hotel the player must walk past Room 235 in The Weston Hotel
Step 8:After a musical Que plays, Room 235 is revealed to actually be Room 153. After this reveal, the player may now press interact to open the door.(Note that depending on how long it took the player to escape the backrooms their gun may be Pack-a-Punched for free when they open the door)
Step 9/Explanation:Inside the room a familiar friend(with a hat!) and challenge pedestals can be found. Two of these pedestals give rewards related to 2 other side EEs, but one pedestal gives 1530 points to all players as a reward for unlocking the room.(NOTE: that the "set your paredolia free" has finally been implemented!).

You should take the timer off of the tally mark step, or at least put a significantly longer timer on it. It was pretty much impossible with 2 people. We would knife all tally marks, then by the time I would run through the first door, they would all go off.

couldn't get door step to work with 2 people. Don't know what going through the doors means? Like go through and back out door one? then through door 5 and back out door 5?

Apologies for the confusion here, you would have to go in door 1, go out door 5, and go in door 3. Any re-crossings of a door is considered as entering it again and will trigger a fail. I'm going to change this in the next patch to be more streamlined.

I appreciate the feedback. I think this could be a bug with the way I am currently handling door detection, standing in one door for two long could count as activating it twice which triggers a fail and causes the symbols to go off.

I am having trouble doing step 3 alone, are two players required? if i knife 1, 5, 3, then run through door 1, by the time i get to door 5 the timer is already over and i have to restart. I have staminup and i tried knife 1 then go through, but again, when i got to door 5 the timer ended. I think the timer may be too fast. or Im doing something wrong but i dont know what

and whats with those shootable picture around the map. some stun you and play an audio que, others dont do anything but disapear

You have to knife all of the symbols before running through the doors, you should see a blue effect in the door and hear a sound effect when it gets triggered. I'm working on changing this step slightly in the next patch, the timer will be increased in the next patch also! The new patch should be out this week also!

It is currently possible to do in solo, it just might be a lil finicky/difficult. I am able to do it testing it by myself.

This is part of the Who is this man EE, shoot photos that look like the man on the poster, shooting an incorrect frame will cause the stun. There is a guide posted on the miscellaneous EE guide. I will add pictures of the correct photo to shoot to make this a little easier to see/understand, its an inside joke in my friend group lol.

ah it must have been something with my game then, I never saw a blue effect or hear a sound effect while running through the doors. I tried knifing them all then running through but it never worked. my game was probably bugged or something.

Apologies you ran into that! Did the tally marks still turn purple?
Might be a possible bug with the step I didn't catch.

Here is a video tutorial on how to do the tallmark step.
Start it at 32 seconds, apologies for the confusion with this step!
EDIT: This step has changed slightly, the player may now cross a door they have activated. The required path to run mentioned above is no longer required, just walk through each door in order!

Oh that's my bad for not saying, that EE is currently deactivated. It was in the game in a previous patch, but I cut it and am remaking it cause I was unsatisfied with it. It might return in the next patch however! I'll say when it is readded.

glad to know, the map was absolutely fantastic and deserves the time taken to make it. love the content
