I feel you may be trying to mix too many things into one pot and hoping for a good outcome?
We're very close to release on a 3.1 update, which should correct some of this behaviour.. and we've already released a "GEM Infused Gauntlets" plug-in mod that might fix your issues, as we found so many things 'wrong' with trying to allow GEMs on gauntlets/templar shards that it needed a whole dedicated mod to fix/sort out.
If this is still an issue in the new year (2022) please let us know :)
thanks for the reply nonetheless. but to make things clear. i made a custom class character using RPGO thats meant to be a psionic class during the first invasion(the characters were two of the survivor in my successful campaign and have their own story but thats for another day) and their psionic power changed over the course of time and became biotic powers. what i want to achieve is to allow them to use both xcom psionics through psionics ex machina using their biotic amp. but as it turns out, putting gems in biotic amps doesnt show the psionic abilities but it still lets you use the biotic powers properly. to sorta fix this, i just let my two character use shard gauntlet in the mean time as their amp so they could use psi power and biotic power at the same time. problem is, certain biotic powers dont work without a biotic amp(an ADVENT amp or higher). so for the most part, what i have is a gimped biotic. i say that cause i also have a special TotalBiscuit character that has all 3 biotic specialization and sentinel and i have him use a real biotic amp and hes very powerful(as it should be).
This is an issue most likely caused by the AbilityToSlotReassignment config.
I'm not 100% certain anymore what the workshop version is like, but I'm pretty sure I've fixed this issue in the soon to be released update. :)
Chasing follow-up to this.. did the 3.1 update fix these issues ?
Damages are fixed in this mod.
Animations for Biotic Amps are fixed if also using Psionic Implants plug in mod.
