France: How do I get Charles De Gualle after preemptive purges?
I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now, but I have no clue. I thought maybe it had something to do with US and UK support, but with or without support I have not been able to go down De Gualle's focus path. Is there a time limit on conquering the french state? Do I need to be the one to assassinate Laval? Does it involve something that another nation controls? I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to understand this issue, and came to the conclusion that the greatest chance of preventing a military coup in France is the path of the French State by switching to the side of Free France during the civil war. With about a 1/3 chance, after defeating the State of France, Charles De Gaulle comes to power. Consequently, a Free France under the control of the bot can still avoid a coup through some actions even before the start of the war.
