Well when i join the sever it on the black and grey square check boards and I can't do anything

Set the Min Players needed to start option to 1 if you're playing alone

I was doing 2 player and it on a black and grey checker screen

Then set it to two

i have tried playing solo and i did everything needed setting min players to one and made sure it was the right map. although it stays on the checkers which is quite a problem. i have also tried using bot in console. am i just being a dumby and missing something or is there something wrong?.

It stays on the checkerboard pattern and does nothing.

how did you manage to fix it?

I read the instructions, make it 2 player but make it so 1 player is needed to start the race.

Also getting just grey checkers with 2 players joined and mk_minplayers 1

as of now steam won't let me upload anything anymore :/

Server is set to private right now cuz steam workshop won't let me upload or update addons. Sorry :/
