In real life a Revolver can be fired much faster than a semi-automatic pistol can (like the engineer's default Pistol) as you are able to thumb back the hammer of the gun incredibly quickly with the only delay being human error, allowing for a higher fire rate, this kind of revolver would have 8 shots as it's quite small for a revolver's size (Compared to The Big Kill) and the higher calibre rounds take up more space (less max ammo)

Purpose of the Weapon on a Defensive engineer.
With an Extra 15 Health and Faster Weapon Switch, the Engineer can Survive longer against enemies that Cannot kill him instantly like Snipers, or Spys, While also Switching to his wrench to Fastly remove sappers as well as going back to the Revolver for a quick kill on the spy who damaged it.
Purpose on an offensive Engineer;
With The Gunslinger and This gun giving him a total of 165 Health, Sniper can no longer use an uncharged head-shot to kill him, and if he were to confront another Engi using this weapon, or a spy brandishing his revolver, he can make quick work of them and get away quickly, as other Engis and Spys can most likely Crit him as well.
A normal revolver hold 6 bullets, not 8.
well we have a default revolver for the spy so we need stats that vary on this, also some revolvers do indeed hold more than 6, the S&W Model 686P (Smith & Wesson) for an example can hold 7 rounds, and those are higher calibres than what the Space Cowboy could hold.
1. The engineer/scout pistol is the vanilla secondary, it is still one of the best options. Just like the scatter gun or basic rocket launcher.
2. The spy has its revolver out in a lot of cases, so this could be a great anti spy weapon
3. The shortstop is probably a pistol as well.
4. What exactaly do you mean think harder? Ok, how about this, +z% damage-x% fire speed -y% clip size, because that is SOOOOO original and game changing o.O
If it crits anyone weilding a pistol they would have to make pistols a better weapon to persuade people to use them, this isn't the sort of thing valve does. No weapons have specific advantages against other weapons to make that weapon harder to use (except projectile reflecting weapons).
