Introduction to K.I.T.S System
K.I.T.S (Kustom Improvements for Tactical Shooters) System, is a system to customize a 'Base' mod with a 'Kit'.

'Base' and 'Kit' mods are required to function. When installing a 'Base', you can choose a 'Kit', which feature different attachments such as muzzle device and rail system.

Only one Kit may be activated at a time, but you may install multiple kits and switch between them by disabling and enabling them in the in-game addons menu.

FAQ

Why get two separate mods, instead of multiple packs of complete sets?

This is because KITS reduces file size compared to complete sets. Instead of downloading multiple complete sets to switch between, the KITS system allows you to choose different designs and only includes what is necessary.

I installed a Base and the mod does not work.

The Base must be used with a 'Kit' to function. If the issue persists even with 'Kit' installed, the source is not related to the Base or Kit.

Do Kits provide stat boosts?

Suppressor kits will make shots quieter and reduce muzzle flash, therefore improving handling and potential to land follow-up shots. However, Kits do not include any scripts to improve actual stats such as damage or accuracy.

So, basically: The textures are in the main file, and the MDL/sounds are in the KITs? I just want to see if I understand how this works on a technical level.

@empty does the KITS system has something to do with frames performance
For some reasons i'm getting frame stutters when i have any weapons that has KITS system

Do you think you can check what causing it ?
I really like this system but for some reason it gave me a pretty bad stutter

I really like this system but for some reason it gave me a pretty bad stutter

first off, this is not my mod so you’d be better off asking the author. Although, I suggest checking the console to see if anything pops up, as well as reducing your graphics settings just in case.
