What is the common practice for making submods anyways? Authors permission? reluctant registration with paradox forums?

Can someone help me with my sub-mod please? I want to create a mod with that you can form personal unions and become defender of faith with every religion. I have edited the two txt files from common/religions so that every religiongroup has the attributes "defender_of_faith = yes" and "can_form_personal_unions = yes" but it didn't work. Do I have to edit more than this?

I would love to see a mod like that! Sadly I know nothing about modding so cannot help you there. :steamsad:

Is there a mod to make the units look to the time for this mod (make calvery look like tank when cavalery become tanks)?
