When I played the ET mod, I found that both the Republic of China in 1945 and China after 1949 used the flag of the Beiyang government, and the Liberation War was manifested through communist rebels. For a Chinese person, these three regimes are different, just like the Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties. I hope developers can give them different tags instead of just making distinctions in government reforms.
