Just extended timeline
Is it possible to make a mod that only changes end date to 9999 and is ironman compatible?

No. But I thought vanilla already allows you to keep playing after 1820 if you reach it.

Sadly not, it just shows you the stats screen and all you can do is go back to menu :/

I believe you can continue in not ironman
