TLDR, I can't find the files I'm supposed to be overwriting with Leugi's versions. Can you give any guidance here?
I might see if I can show hidden folders via Terminal... but as it is it isn't a folder where I can drop in files, it's just an application (i.e. Civilization 6.app). Anyway thanks again, I'll see what I can work out on Mac and maybe post here if I find a solution, just for anyone else.
I plopped in the "Base" and "DLC" folders from Leugi's "Replacements" folder (so now that steamapps/common/SMC6/ folder has 5 items total). I couldn't have put any of the sub-folders because they all have the same names ("ArtDefs" and "cultures.artdef"), so I assume this is the closest I can get to "replacing" the original game files.
I didn't get any warning that I was replacing an existing file, so I don't think I did it right. I'm not convinced that the Mac version works the same way as the PC one.
**Do you know a way I could test that these replacement files are working the way they're supposed to?**
I played a game successfully, and civilisations did have distinct-looking cities, but I currently have no way of distinguishing between the incomplete and complete versions of the mod. No sweat if you don't have the time to deal with this, I just figured I'd ask. I may post a comment in the general thread too. Thanks again for your guide!
Thx again @cozmicclockwork for making this thread.
TLDR: If you correctly did the file replacements then all civs that receive changes from the mod will not have any vanilla assets in their cities.
