no thrusters
hello I tried your script on 2 different ship and get the message "sorry no thruster on this ship" could you help me ?

Hello, your thrusters could be:
- On a different grid to your programming block
- Disabled
- Maybe some non-recognised mod
- Not working for some other reason such as damaged.

If the issue is definitely not one of these then it might be best to post an image here.
if one of these was the issue then I will close this topic.

I get this too, but reading some of your comments it looks like thrusters need to be active when triggering the program block and I tend to always switch them off after docking. Would that be it?

Hmmm yes it could be it. But only if the script performs a search for thrusters when they're off (upon recompile, the ship mass changes during auto docking, at least one thruster became disabled during auto docking, or the game save was loaded up).
If you enable the thrusters and cause a search to happen (e.g recompile), then hopefully it should work.
