L4D1 survivor in l4d2 map: cause of game crash
After some experiment and diagnosing on why my game crash when transitioning to next map, the problem is fixed when I added the "precache_all_survivors 1" to my cvar.txt in the "ems" folder, it fixes it, but not 100%. I've come to conclusion having spawned l4d1 survivors in l4d2 campaign can cause the crash. Are you able to pinpoint this issue and fix the addon?

This mod is usually not perfect for adding L4D1 survivors to L4D2 maps. The only way to be able to use the 8 survivors without crash, is to download some plugins and extensions of Sourcemod and Metamod. Those are advanced and powerful scripts that help to modify without causing much crash or problems.

I'm just using it and more on a local server and it works perfect. Some things are not going well, but there are not so many crashes.

you know it's not normal lmfao
it only happens when one player is in the lobby when starting the game. I am not sure if it also happens for joining in progress game.

When you are the leader of the lobby and you start your local server with people, the first thing it does is that your load reaches 100% and then you wait a few seconds more or less for your server visitors to finish loading.

The moment you give it to start the server, it will start loading, instead your visitors will still continue in the lobby and will wait about 30 seconds or so for them to start loading. That is why they take advantage of clicking the button to disconnect / exit the lobby (only if it is in public).

Keep in mind that you must verify your internet connection or not have too many mods / plugins installed, otherwise you will suffer several minutes of loading per map.

ahh figure as much. This is why I quickly change the setting and start the game to avoid upsetting the other players having to wait
