Which variant? I'll take a look at each, but helps to know which you ran into this problem with. Side note: the docking toggle is above the helm position on most variants; I think on mk3 it was wired to the computer, but I could have missed that; will double check.

I tested all 3 variants; was able to dock with each; note that mk1 and mk2 there is no docking indicator; but once you are to the point where you should be able to dock, you use the hand lever above the helm station that says "dock". mk3, you can use the nav terminal to dock like in vanilla vessels.
