Check your game settings when you load your game to make sure your backpack settings are correct. These settings are set by the game, not the scenario.
Use your drone (F5) to retrieve your backpack from a safe location.
The two soldiers are snipers. If you're in the open, they will make life very hard for you. They're more or less stuck near the bottom of the tower, so you should always know where they are.
You have a sniper rifle, so ONE shot to the head will kill them. Alternatively, circle the tower and come from behind where they can't see you and walk into the tower, use it as cover.
You hold your gun in your right hand, so when you use your scope your view transfers to your right shoulder. If you have a wall in front of you, you can shoot around corners from cover (this is how 80% of combat in both RG and vanilla is handled).
Running, jump and zig-zagging randomly does not throw off enemy aim.
You should've made armor before you started. I recommend going and making some if you don't have any.
The crash site where you come down is covered in plant protein and not in talon territory.
