Find the faction leader and enlist in their army, provided you have enough renown you can talk to them a second time and pledge yourself as vassal. You either need a bunch of renown or advance to Field Marshall rank before you can do this.

hi, thanks for the reply - I just realised that yeah, as long as you have like 150 renown, you can be a "normal" vassal as in vanilla warband
