Is it possible to add these three features?
1) Auto-select ready to be built structures when switching tabs (like Red Alert 2). This is how it worked: build a structure in one tab, and while it's still building, quickly switch to another tab (e.g. infantry tab). When the structure is finished building, switch back to that tab. In RA2, the structure that has finished building should be automatically selected.

2) Save favourite faction colour in Skirmish games. E.g. my favourite is orange and the game constantly resets it back to the default of yellow every time I exit back to the main menu.

1) This isn't really needed and could be quite annoying in the grand scheme of things.

2) This would be handy. Has any previous C&C done this though?

3) That one is very annoying, would be good to have that fixed. I would imagine this would be a bug that the devs would fix though.

#1 is directly from Red Alert 2 though. It worked perfectly there so I don't see why it wouldn't work now.

#2 - I can't remember how RA2 did it. I just don't like most of the new colour selections in RA1 Remastered so it's only really stood out to me now.

I'd implement them all, but unfortunately they are all impossible. For 2), mods can't change the behaviour of the pre-game menus. For 1) and 3), mods don't have access to play input. However, I've heard that Petroglyph has been notified of 1) and 3), so hopefully they and EA will fix them with a patch in the future.

EA released the source code - can't you use some kind of library or hook to call functions to api?

Did they not reveal certain functions or do smarter people need to decompile the code first?

The source code they released isn't the 'full' source code of the remastered game. Certain functions, such as player input, are handled by Petroglyph's closed-source GlyphX engine, which communicates with the open-source TiberianDawn.dll and RedAlert.dll libraries.
