* People have lives outside gaming and modding, which is something they already do for free.
* Modders can have their reasons for not wanting other people to fork / update their mods. Just because you don't know why doesn't mean it's petty.
* Modders essentially own their mods. If they say 'please do not fork / update', then that should be followed. Don't encourage other users to essentially steal someone else's mod.
