Yes they do spawn. The Sarco's will even give you a notification in the bottom right when you are in a nesting area. They spawn in swamps.

oh that might be it, I haven't been in a swamp yet. I thought since sarcos were spawning there was a chance for the nest to spawn, good to know that it depends on location, too.

A couple years late, but just started playing this mod a couple weeks ago. They spawn in the swamp. For sarcos, Ive found lone ones not moving around just staying on their nest. Kapros, they never seem to be by their nest, but their nest is a few rocks and a tree next to it always! and you have to get the nest from the one side of the tree. Replying 2 years late in case this helps a current player
