Really enjoy the mod so far, massive fan of the EUIV original which I played probably several playthroughs over 100+ hours so I was quite happy to see this in the workshop. Some of these suggestions are more bug fixes but I'm trying to touch on the massive things I've noticed while acknowledging that this is an early beta (i.e no focus for other new nations) and instead on whats already currently playable.

1. Focus Tree - First thing I noticed was the massive fairly linear focus tree. Theres nothing wrong with linear focus trees, but for the pacing of the game I noticed that it was already 42-43 before I even got to start invading most of the americas, and I was halfway through south america by 45, with the main WWII having already bascially been decided in the allies/communists favor. This made it hard as most of the other minors were already in the other factions and the lack of content post-45 makes it unenjoyable to stretch a game out that long. I would suggest breaking up the tree a bit so the modernization and political choices are seperate from the military ones and timing the days for focus' between the future ones for the other nations and Elysia to balance it out a bit.

2. Navy - Not really sure why, but the default navy you start with and your designs are all barebones, as in those ships techincally aren't even acceptable designs by HOI IV standards. Ended up spending alot of time and navy XP just to give my starting ships some basic guns before I started building by own fleets.

3. Puppets - The puppeting focus tree choices feel really unbalanced. Being able to puppet the UK without any ability for them to really stop it as well as take chunks of the USSR feels off. These areas are very much out of the Elysian sphere of influence I was getting when I was playing and there was no real way to utalize them other than as MP and resource pools.

4. Supply - HOI IV was never really meant to see any large scale fighting in the Americas. Supply is a nightmare even in the US in vanilla, but it makes sense in the context that most of the Americas are not as developed as Europe due to their short history. However given the much earlier colonization and shift in geopolitical power that the lore of Third Odyssey creates, I feel the standard infastructure and industrilazation of N and S america should be higher, especially if you've placed a uber-nation in the form of Elysia who is going to have to march troops from Alaska all the way down to Argentina. I'm sure S America will be getting some customization but some generic factory and infastructure buffs would go a long way too.

5. Research - For such a massive tree and with Elysia essentially being the major nation, I was surprised at the lack of research slots they had. They had the 3 default slots of a minor, and only 1 obtainable from the focus tree, meaning that the pseduo-GP was stuck on 4 slots the entire game compared to the 5-6 other GP nations get plus even some minors.

6. Coring - I felt that the massive amount of cores you get from conquering territory and then doing a focus was a little crazy. Perhaps moving this to decisions with PP cost over time would work better than suddenly integrating half of the north american continent over 210 days of focuses. This would also ease the length of the focus tree issue in #1.

7. Lore - Another focus tree point, but the description of the focus tree decisions are fairly bare bones. This isn't a massive issue and it dosen't really affect gameplay, but a more detailed description of why this focus tree does this specific thing in context of the country would go a long way to making Elysia feel like a country with a soul rather than a pseudo-USA with a giant map painting focus tree. You could easily add things from the original mod such as refrences to the great library established in Nea Alexiandria for a research slot or perhaps the secret of greek fire for some damage or naval buff.

I mean all these points as constructive material for the author and not as any slander on his/her work as I was quite surprised how far along it is in terms of gameplay considering how short its been on the workshop. Hopefully at least something in the list helps with an idea for development.

I'm really touched that you would go into such detail. So I'm going to answer you point by point.

1. I agree with you the focus is much too long, I've already tried to reduce the time by putting 35 days here and there but it is clearly not enough. I find it very difficult to integrate the military with the rest, I think the main tree is not too bad, the problem being more related to the conquest of the Americas and Europe. I'll try to improve all that.

2. The navy is something I haven't understood yet, I know it's a problem but I consider that the player can make up for my lack of understanding by creating his own navy, it will surely be a detail that I'll change more rad, but bigger problems exist for the moment.

3. I see the taking of England and Russia as part of the lore of my mod and not the original mod, England, Russian Empire and Elysia having close dynastic ties. But England is too easy to take and indeed the creation of a new Russian empire in the east as it is quite fantastic.

4. This is a point that I hadn't taken into account, I'm going to modify this to have something simpler and less unpleasant to play.

5. I'm going to add two more slots so I can do more research.

6. Very good idea too, I'm very reluctant to create decisions because it's something I don't know much about, but it's a good idea, and it will justify the creation of "Basileos tis ..." type focuses, I think I'll also make exarchates pay for it.

7. And compared to the lore I'm going to improve that, it's a part I love, but I find it boring to do in focus, it will be done little by little but will be done

I don't take anything you say as a criticism and I think it's great that you took your time to give me such a detailed feedback.

I would love a new and epic focus tree for shahanshahstan that allows it to either become a puppet of Iran and later be annexed into it or for it to start a civil war in iran between the monarchist that want to join shahanshahstan and recreate the Achaemenid Empire and communists that want to have a independant iran. if the monarchists win, shahanshahstan annexes them and has the option to change their name to the achaemenid empire or stay the same. the focus will allow it to concentrate on either the old world and try and take back the old territories, or on the new world and potentially challenge the byzantines.

I know this is a lot and you probebly wont be able to include it but if you can many thanks as it will make the byzantines not so overpowered that they can just take over the world.

That's a beautiful idea.I had no idea for this country that I created out of "spite" because the United States couldn't go on and it was a suggestion that I had seen on the eu4 TTO discord. I'll keep that in mind and try to integrate it into the mod within the limits of my abilities.

could you make a focus mutually exclusive with the elysian orthodox for a hellenic church that gives 5 or 10 war support instead of stability?

It's a good idea, the only problem that prevents me from doing it is the fact that there isn't really an icon representing the Helenic religion. I'll try to make one, and if it's good enough, I'll do it.
