That being, if you stay close to your sentry, the pet spots a spy nearby and fires your sentry at them, but you have to be close to your sentry for it to sniff out spies and reveals the spy to you like it was noe of your own, but giving away enemy spies so your sentry can gun them down.
A cosmetic that alerts you to enemy spies and makes friendly sentries shoot at these spies. doesn't exactly help you with fighting them, but it makes life easier for the engie who stays parked by his sentry.

Cloaked spy: If one is nearby, your critter will make loud sniffing noises.
Disguised spy: If one is nearby, it'll make growling noises.
If you(Engie) die: It makes this howling crying noise, something to really tug the heart strings, and make the Spy feel bad.
If you kill a Spy: It makes a happy noise like a playful bark or something.
If you dominate an enemy player: It makes the muttley laugh if Engie doesnt say anything.
If you get a revenge kill on someone who dominated you: It howls or makes some victorious noise, or growls like it's thrashing at someone it bit.
Taunting(weapon): it makes playful happy sounds, and howls if you kill someone with a killing taunt.
Rancho Relaxo(easy chair taunt): It makes little snoring noises as if it fell asleep.
