I get this error in my debug log:

Could not resolve cross-reference: No Verse.SoundDef named Baby_Chirp_Budg found to give to Verse.LifeStageAge

I saw that in the code, the SoundDef was named "Baby_Chirp" instead of "Baby_Chirp_Budg". Changing that one line appears to fix the issue.
