I do not own HL2.

you need to buy it on steam,
you cant just put the content there,
it dont work like that.

i have episode 2 and the railings still wont load

the way to get the fences working is to wait for hl2 ep2 to fully download or else it won't work, you also need to mount hl2 ep2 by clicking the controler in the corner of the menu, hl2 should already be checked but if its not, check it
