When you first picukp a shield, you learn a recipe, craft it at hand. It's a shield stat card, open it and at the top left there is a slot, you can put a shield there.
There's an image about it at the top.

Iam curious about Maliwan's Spike and Nova shields, it does not seem any of them come in Ice or Poison elements. Is it because of a technical issue or was it overlooked? If so will there be any plans on implementing them in the future?

They should come in Fire/Poison/Electric, similar to BL2's, as for why haven't you found one in poison it's probably just luck, i'll see.

You'll need a mod that adds scaling up to tier 50, I have one, but it's not finished.

Is there a place that shows where all the shields drop from? I've been trying to farm a rough rider but am unsure if it has a specific boss it drops from or if it just drops randomly.

Could you also please release your mod as a download as well? Because I play Starbound, and a copied version of my Starbound, with two different mod sets. But I want your mod in both of these. So please a download for it?

How does this work with multiplayer? If I use this on a server is there a way to change the capacity values for everyone on the server? Also how is the compatability for Crew Customization + implimented? because I can't figure out how to get a shield on my crew. I've place a shield onto the crew shield slot on the crew tab but nothing happens. Is there now a shield slot located on the crew customization window now?

@Chet Walters: I've just been lazy updating it on the Chuckelfish forums, though, I might resort to something else because having to have an account to download is annoying.

@Ruin: It does, player values only apply to the player setting them, everyone can have different values, forcing an specific value would require creating the way to enforce it an only have a group allowed to change it.

Also, yes, in the Crew Customization+ window, near the top left, is the "status" button (the little health/energy/sword icons), it is a button that when clicked, it changes the window and in one of them, there should be a Shield Slot, saving would apply the shield.
