What does this mod do?
I see the change log. But not any description... Is this just patching the game? I though Steam did that?

What exactly is this mod doing?

Core dependency of FPS Booster

Answering your question: literally nothing unless you have FPS Booster or Load Order mod subscribed

Temporarily patch the game in memory, or attempt to apply a patch
to the game executable (which any AV would prevent)?
Maybe I should ask at LOM, but since I'm here anyway..
(It might allay someone else's quandries.)

For both mods (FPS Booster and LOM): temporarily patch the game in memory, it does not change any game files - can be unsubscribed at any time and unfortunately there is a chance that patch will fail to apply, hence why sometimes users say it worked well and then stopped for unknown reason.

It neither helps with the booster FPS either, pointless Mods.

What do you mean by that? You've deleted previous comment and this one does not make any sense.
FPS Booster won't work at all without this mod subscribed and enabled.

I meant, after testing the FPS mod, it did not improve FPS. Then after seeing this Mod which I I have no idea what it did as it was not clear but now know what it dose after googling it online. With this patch applied - Still no improvement in FPS so I do wonder, why bother...
