Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: How do I download the mod?
Answer: Hit the subscribe button below the gallery of images.

Question: How do I play on this map?
Anwser: Once you have subscribed, start up Civilization V, and once the game is started up there should be a button titled "Mods". Once you click that you have to agree to set of rules. Once you are at the mod screen you must make sure the mod you want to use is checked, and then you can continue to playing the mod.

Question: The map is missing alot of things.
Answer: The pictures don't do the maps justice. The pictures are outdated, and don't include the resources, flood plains, or changes we have made to areas.

Question: I only have regular civilization. Do I have to have the addons to play it?
Answer: No you do not, it was a misclick when I added the G&K tag. You do not have to have any addons to play this map.

This map is available on all Windows operating systems, as well as Mac.

Does this work with the middle earth civs someone else made?

uhm i cecked the game wit the green thing but when i start a game its a random generated map and i cant find out how ic an choose the map i want to play it just gives me random map generation options =(

Do you have this uploaded on Civ Fanatics? If so could you paste a link for download from there. Only way a Mac will work is via download and install, the Subscribe feature is not working for Civ5 Mac users.

***MULTIPLAYER MIDDLE EARTH MAP PACK***
After strenuous days of working on trying to find out how to play multiplayer of mods, I am happy to say I have found a way to do it. I modified the same files on my friend's system as I did mine, and I hosted a multiplayer match over the internet, and we played until turned 50 with no problems. More information on how to do this will be provided, spread the news to your friends and all Civilization enthusiasts.

I have the same issue, am I missing a step? After 4 games with definitely NOT the Middle Earth map after exploring/playing out the randomized one, I can confirm it's not booting up.

I have the same problem, but I used two quotes, so my problem automatically trumps both of their problems! (Even if it is the same issue)
