I was following some cims around with a mod that favorites and show details of them, and noticed that children seem to age ~5 years in the time that an adult ages ~1 year.

Is that a mod effect, vanilla effect, or maybe something from another mod?

Edit: Tested with mods disabled, seems to be a vanilla thing. Wonder if it could be changed.
