not sure if you figured it out already but you can get an item called raw shiny essence by killing enraged shinies, this is used to charge the shiny prod. you then use the prod on the untameable dino such as a wyvern or deino and kill them before the buff wears off, this will give you a shiny essence for that species, so if you do it to a deino you can only use it for deinos, so then you take it back to your bred up or just your own deino and give it the essence, transferring the shiny powers to your own dino
