about egg based dinos (i.e. wyvern/deinon)
for things like that do the shinies of things like that become tamable? does the shiny trait come through eggs from them? or is shiny trait impossible for these creatures to obtain?

Dinos dont inherit shiny buff from eggs - this way you can only get shiny colors, but the baby will have normal name and no special effects. However, you can steal the essence of a special shiny and apply it to your tame.
Alternatively you can use Immersive Taming mod to tame wild-egg-laying creatures.
