They do not. Drakes, Magmasaurs, wyverns lay an egg when they spawn (if they lay an egg), Shiny mod does not "spawn" a new dino tthat is a shiny. I converts an existing mod to shiny. SO for drakes you want to use the essence prod to take the special aribute. Color only shiny's are kind of useless.

Ah thats too bad. The server i play on has the essence prod disabled so i guess i just got an above dino cap rock drake.

There is a mod that lets you craft a dart to force egg laying. You could ask your server to implement that mod too.

Yes we have that mod actually. But as you said the egg they lay doesn't receive the effect it seems.
