Old Version of Dinos Still Spawning (not a bug!)
Please note this is a feature at this time, not a bug. As of 7/7/2020:
We know that to be compatible with other TLC mods, we need to let the vanilla ones spawn, but now that we've listed ini commands and spawn codes, you can turn on or off ours or vanilla, to pick and choose which versions you want. A tunable interface is also coming so you can turn on and off vanilla or mod versions within the game as an admin. :)

Ini settings for your convenience! (Please look up how to correctly install these codes into your game files!)

This ini replaces the vanilla turtles with trilobites.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Turtle_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="Trilobite_Character_C")


This ini replaces the vanilla dilo with dodos.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Dilo_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="Dodo_Character_BP_C")

It is better to leave the old versions, so the fauna will become more diverse. It's like two different species of the same animal. :yazdwink:

Maybe release a version with and without the vanilla ones? If honestly rather not have both because that means there is only a chance of finding the better version or you the up with twice as many of a particular creature.

Maybe it could be possible to do smth like Kraken Better dino? Those dino has the possibility to be converted between the vanilla version and the better dino version.
Wondering it is will be possible to make some compatibility with better dino mod, like having your upgraded model version but with BD functionality.

I actually like the idea of this, that way things like rare spawns should still work nicely. Just adds more variety (perfect for dino hoarders)!

I think there should be separate mods for individual creatures when more TLC creatures come out, kinda like what Ark: additions is doing, that way we can pick and chose what creatures we want. And maybe the individual mods would only have the TLC versions of the creatures, so that the main mod with both creatures would be for the real dino hoarders, and the individual mods would be for the picky people, like me.

Personally, I feel the new mod animals are objectively better, so I manually made them take the place of the vanilla ones. Here are the codes for your game.ini if anyone else wants to do the same:

Thank you HAL9000! I didn't see this until now! The old ones shouldn't be spawning anymore, but it's nice to share that this can be done, and for future creatures in our TLC if we have both versions spawning for a time again.

what is the blueprint code for the new turtle pleaze ? I want to use it for simple spawners
